ATT Mohawk Mountain

This ATT microwave facility carried general toll circuits, probably to access the out of state toll switch(s). Reportedly there were some special circuits mixed in there too - perhaps military. There is a chance that this site relayed some network television video as well.

This site reportedly connected to Austerlitz, NY and Spindle Hill (Bristol), CT.

There was a fire tower on this site years before ATT used the summit for their microwave facility
and the fire tower reportedly was operated seasonally up until the seventies.  Most likely
the original fire tower was replaced by the microwave tower and the 
observation "cab" seen in this picture took its place.
