I was stationed at B Btry/51st Bn in New Britian/Plainview, CT from '59 to '62. In late 61, the 51st Bn was deactivated as some Ajax sites were converted to Herc and some were closed. At that time, the 55th Bn in Manchester relocated to the 51st Bn location. I stayed on there until I left in the fall of '62. My wife and I lived in the "Capart" housing located between New Britian and Plainview.

I just wanted to say that this is a great website. There arent many sites like this for Connecticut. I live moderately close to the Plainville Nike base, and I've been looking for information about for some time now. Thanks alot for helping me out!
