I've been looking into solving the hometown rumors of a missile control facility in Milford, CT, and your site provides the most evidence yet to the affirmative. As a history major at SCSU and with a fiance who is an amateur photographer, we're always looking for great old places to visit, and we're looking forward to exploring the history of the Milford site.

Hi Michael B, you still haven't answered my question"So which of the photos that I submitted are not correct ". Also sounds like your just Blowing smoke here. Your directions seem a bit poor"Home page/MILITARY FACILITIES" shows no photos but"Home page/MILITARY FACILITIES/Nike ABM sites" will have a page that has pictures. Counting down from the first photo which is a picture of Nike Ajax missiles to #10 photo is a picture of a fence with a sign warning of sentry dogs. None of those pictures say they are from East Windsor Ct. Those photos I had taken are the only Radar in the IFC area and it was still there till May of 1962 when I left for another Battery in California. There was no TRR here at the time. When you make a statement Like "This is what East Windsor site looked like when I was driven through the main gate. " you seem more like a Visitor ,Not one of the personnel stationed at the site. So Michael B I'm asking you "What did you do there??" Joe N.

Hi Joe N. I have been busy, and unable to get back to you in a timely manner. If you go to the home page and click on MILITARY FACILITIES and scroll down to picture #10. This is what East windsor site looked like when I was driven through the main gate. There were 4 radar towers. MTR< TTR< TRR and the Acq. Some time in 1962 there has to major construction done before I arrived in late 1962. If you scroll down to picture # 16 last column you will see that Zeus was built. They were built in 1952.Toward my last year 1965 there was a conversion over to Zeus. The payloads were changed during TPI. BMEWS was already installed.

This is cool. Did I tell you of the abandoned Nike site I explored in Thule Greenland? The missile launcher bays were intact, but the open bays were filled with junk trucks and other debris. Since the weather is mostly cold and dry, things were pretty well preserved.
