interesting to read the CANEL project page - my Dad, Guy E Beardsley Jr, Barny Schmickrath, and Gene Holsinger were the 3 heads of the project in teh 50's

I was stationed at the Milford Ajax Site in 1960 and was transferred to the Ansonia Hercules Site from 1961 to 1962 as a Regular Army Integrated Fire Control operator. Many fond memories of the "Valley" towns and the guys I served with during my 3 years of service. Things became a little intense during the Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962. I still display the 56th Arty(Milford) and 55th Arty(Ansonia) shoulder pins proudly. God bless America!

Very interesting web site, full of CT history. Perhaps one of our elected officials can put forth a bill to secure one of these sites as a National or State Park/Museum, before they are all gone.
