TIME PERIOD: 1954; 1963 DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES: The Dorr Corp. conducted waste-handling tests on low-level radioactive material (ammonium diuranate). This work was done as a subcontractor to NLO (Fernald). NLO (Fernald) personnel monitored the tests and took air quality samples. Documentation reviewed describes activities conducted in 1954, however there is no description of activities supporting the 1963 date. Based on a review of the air sampling data gathered during the 1954 activities, which demonstrates generation of significant airborne radioactive material concentrations, and the absence of any documentation of area or equipmentdecontamination, or associated radiological surveys, it is concluded that this site poses a potential for residual contamination outside the period in which weapons-related production occurred.
